I am a Freelance Photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand. For me, the creative aspect of artistic photography is almost all about emotion. Images need to be more than just a graphical representation of an object or place. A well crafted photograph needs to tell a story, stimulate the emotions, create intrigue or elicit some reaction. I think of photography as an enjoyable, self indulgent pastime and therapy. It helps me live life.

Although my main focus is Landscapes and Portraits, I'm interested in almost all genres of photography. Consequently I'm always exploring new avenues of creativity. Above all, I do have a preference for moody landscape images and you will find many examples of this throughout my gallery. I often use HDR (High Dynamic Range) and LE (Long Exposure) techniques to add emotion to images and this is reflected in much of my work. Like many photographers, I also enjoy travel and consider both pursuits as being the perfect synergy. Together, they form a very satisfying and addictive obsession.

My Gear includes Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 80D and Sony A7R II with Sigma Art series Prime Lenses and Canon L series Wide and Zoom Lenses. I use Sirui and Manfrotto tripods. My favourite filters are B+W and Nisi.

Hannah is my cute daughter and my photography work is her inspiration…

I love Jomys work. His skills are very unique. I’ve booked with Jomy on a short notice to capture some good moments - proud moments! Of my brothers graduation. Although this was short notice, he still managed to capture some beautiful shots on this day. Very friendly and easy guy to work with. Introduced him to my BIG family and they love him! I trust his judgements for a picture perfect! Whether the wind is blowing your hair from east to west lol he will find the right angle to blend that in for a good shot. Have seen his work on some friends and I must say - just beautiful!! Very talented guy and I am truely inspired by his work.I would definitely use him for all upcoming occasions. To Jomy - My family are amazed at your work, keep it up! Thank you so much again Jomy-Mel

Holy Smokes! We have a Winner! Absolutely stunning capture. I have to ask...how many photos did you take and how long did you wait to get this one? That shot is just amazing in every regard, angle, time, lighting. This is just breath taking, you inspired me for sure to get shots like this. I look forward to more of your work.
